Platform46 launches innovative “Connector Framework” for internal micro-reporting and complimentary Cloud-offeringSYDNEY - A thought-leader in the corporate social networking space, Sydney-based Platform46 announces the official availability of Social Business Integrator (SBI) 2.0. An innovative product developed in Sydney, SBI allows employees to receive notifications from business applications, such as Customer Relationship Management, document management systems and more, through the use of a “Connector Framework”. "Platform46 mantra has always been to use the social media format to add value to existing applications. The addition of an event-processing capability through the Connector Framework to our micro-blogging platform gives us a significant edge in the market,” said Platform46 CEO, Tim Ayling. "Organisations are beginning to understand the importance of social technologies in the modern workplace, but are still struggling on how it fits into a broader business strategy. Platform46 are doing all we can to understand our customers’ businesses and maximise value from their existing apps.” Social Business Integrator is also now deployable in the Cloud as well as behind the firewall. This flexibility gives organisations the choice on how their security model is affected by the information being communicated. "The new Cloud version is a smart, forward-looking approach that will assist in the efficient deployment of organisational notification and collaboration tools. It’s an exciting addition to the portfolio," said Platform46 CTO Richard Atkinson. "Platform46 is proud of its thought-leadership in the development and growth of the micro-reporting market, and offering different deployment options is hugely significant.” As Platform46 open up deployment options, the company has also thrown away the price book until the end of June 2010 – allowing organisations to “make an offer” dependent on the value they envisage gaining. Already two organisations in two industries have had offers accepted, 1Cover and Egress Technologies. |
